We had an exceptional stay at a lovely little hotel set back from the main Lamai strip. The owners were nice, friendly, and helpful, speaking both French and English. Our room was big, clean, well-furnished, and comfortable, with a big balcony overlooking the beautifully tended garden. We were pleasantly surprised by the bar/pool area, although we didn't get a chance to use it. Despite the slight bathroom size and basicness, it was still fine. The location was a bit of a walk from the strip and beach, but it turned out to be a good thing as the strip seemed a bit seedy. We initially booked for one night but ended up staying for three, a testament to the value for money this place offers. we highly recommend this hotel.
